Ken saved Jessica's hair!

Jessica is famous for her clip-in extensions and has even confessed to sleeping in them! It was Ken that first used extensions on her, after a hair disaster in 1998. Her trademark long hair was cut short by a snip-happy hairdresser and her record company went crazy! They immediately got Ken on a plane to go and fix Jessica's shorn locks and a great friendship was born.

Ken's tips for how to style and wear HairDo

Ken really knows his stuff and for years, he made hair extensions by hand. He's used them on Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria and Celine Dion!

• Choose a color and texture that will blend with your own hair and look natural
• Choose the length that you want and go effortlessly from short to long!

What are the extensions like?

Each extension is one 'hairpiece' that lets you create a completely new hairstyle by simply clipping it into your own hair. Each one has layers so that the resulting style looks completely natural.
The hair is on a stretchy 'cap' so that one size fits all.

What are they made from?

The human hair extension is made from Indian Temple hair which is considered by stylists to be the very best quality. It's 21 inches long and may be professionally colored and/or permed.
This should be washed with gentle shampoo and conditioner – just like your own hair- and then left to air dry.

The other four extensions are made from Vibralite - a modacrylic fiber which is the best quality synthetic fiber on the market.

Ken advises that these should be washed in Woolite. Don't use any heated irons on them, it will melt the hair! You can use hot rollers covered in velvet!

What colors can I get?

There are nine colors to choose from so you're sure to find one that will blend naturally with your own hair.

What styles can I create with them?

It depends which extension you choose to buy.

• 23 inches long, wavy   - This will transform short hair into below the shoulder length
• 15 inches, wavy   - This is perfect for adding volume if you have shorter hair. Or you can use it to create a shoulder length style

• 22 inches, straight   - This will change short hair into bra length
• 10 inches, straight   - This will add volume to short, straight hair or give you a shoulder length layered bob

How do you put them in?

They are unbelievably quick and easy to clip in. This is probably one of the most amazing feature of these extensions!

There are three basic steps:

1. Section your hair
The extension comes complete with large 'crocodile' clips to make sectioning your hair a breeze. Simply comb the hair into two sections. The top section runs from one temple right round the back of your head to the other temple. Gather that hair up into your hand as you comb and then twist it and secure onto your crown with a clip.

2. Clip in your extension
The stretchy cap of hair has pressure-sensitive clips for quick and easy securing. Position it along the temple division and simply press into place.

3. Blend with your own hair
Now just release your crown hair from the clip and using your fingers, blend your own hair with the extension.
